Congratulations, Gloria, on your retirement, and thank you for all you have done for Travel and Fun.

Soon after these words were penned, but before publication, Travel and Fun trekked to Ellensburg in search of spring warmth - the West Side like March instead of May.  Our May outing was hosted by Wayne and Vivian Bernhard, Keith, Liz and Jack Brown, and Bud and Lorriane Maves at E and J Resorts in Ellensburg, the 15th to 18th.  Friday, the hosts provided a one skillet breakfast and the campers a western potluck dinner. Saturday, the hosts cooked breakfast burritos and a western trail dinner.  Liz kept the RVers busy with games.  Winners will be listed in the next issue.

June 12 to 15, an intrepid band of campers travels to  Kamper's West at Warrenton, OR for an Explore and Shop Till You Drop Weekend.  Hosts Bill and Juanita Spong have a laid back weekend planned - but not without games. Friday, there will be a continental breakfast, dinner will be potluck
followed by Juanita's Brown Bag Dice.   Saturday, the hosts will cook
breakfast. Saturday, Bill will judge a hor d'oeurve contest during happy hour and dinner BBQ.  Bring your own entrée to burn, the hosts will provide all the fixin's and extras.

There is room for more RVers at the outing. Call Bill or Juanita at 895-8797 if you are interested.

July, Travel and Fun will join Brother Elks from all over the Northwest at the NW Elk's RV Rally at the Gray's Harbor Fair Grounds in Elma, July 3rd to 6th.  Reservations must be in by June 15th, so if you wish to go, contact Lorene Brannan at 471-2988.  Lorene and Merle Lewis will be our hosts. Please remember to wear your Travel and Fun shirts and Rally hats at the campout.

Janice Watson, Country Store chair needs handiwork and craft items and all the junque you can dig out of the attic or garage.  Travel and Fun lead by Jim and Peggy Brooks will do the games - holiboards and washu.  Both the store and games will need 1181 campers to assist with sales, raffles, registration, scorekeeping and set-up.

SUNSHINE chair, Joyce Cordova reported on illness or injury for Wilma Oas and Lorriane Maves.  If you have Sunshine news, call Joyce at 360-981-0830 or email fleetwoodelk@netzero.com.

Dick and Stella Davis report swing set raffle ticket sales are going well. Members holding tickets need to return them to Dick and Stella at the June meeting.

Bill Spong donated a clock for the Port Townsend Elk's travel shelter.

Twenty-year pins are available for Chris and Maxine Grevstad, Wilma, Don Hester and Dick and Lou Baugous.  Bunny Hudanich was given her pin at the May meeting.

A special thanks to Chuck Arnold of PowerShop in Enumclaw for answering questions about RV maintenance at our May meeting.

Mark your calendars! July 14  and August 11, we hold our meetings at the
shelter:  gathering at 5 pm, potluck at 6, the meeting at 7.

The June meeting is Monday the 9th, conversation at 6 and the meeting at 7. Guests are welcome.
