APRIL TRAVEL N FUN
MEETING CHANGE NOTICE: May’s general meeting will be the 17th at the shelter. This will be a potluck. We gather about 5 and eat 6 with the meeting start gaveled at 7 pm. The April meeting is the 12th (the regular meeting night as the second Monday) at 7 pm.
Kudos to Al and Bea Sande for another fine Valentine Brunch at the Airport Dinner. Great food and we got to see members who normally don’t make the campouts.
April’s outing will be the 21 to 25th at the Port Townsend Elks, hosted by the Blankenships and Higdon/Grassers. Friday night will be pizza (with salad) from a local pizzeria. The hosts took a day trip to Port Townsend and checked out pizza parlors to find the best for your dining pleasure.
May 12 to 16th we will travel to Harmony Lake in Mossyrock, one of our favorite parks. The hosts will be the Lampmans, Falleheys and Josephsons. If you want to attend, you must make reservations direct with the campground at 360-983-3804. A $30 deposit will be required.
June 23 to 27th, we return to Glen Ayr RV Park and Motel at Hoodsport. Our hosts will be the Lewis’s and Schmittlers. If you wish to hotel, Glen Ayr’s rooms are very nice. Whether you attend with or without a rig, call 360-877-9522 for reservations.
July 22 to 25th is the NW Elks Rally at the Polk County Fairgrounds (west of Salem). As of this writing, reservation packets have not been received. Our hosts will be Lorene Brannen and the Lewises. Time to start gathering up your books for 1181’s book sale: Paperbacks are preferred, but we will take hard cover, DVDs, VHS and CDs. Please, no Reader’s Digest, encyclopedias and medical dictionaries. Children’s, cookbooks and westerns appreciated.

Dues are due. For payment or membership information, call Kathy Josephson, 360-692-8642. Prospective members are always welcome as guests at outings or meetings.
Starting in April, tickets for the Darrell Schmittler crafted patio set will be sold by Travel N Fun Members, in the Lodge office and at the family picnic. Lorene Brannan will be in charge of raffle sales.
Historian Karen Belling needs outing pictures, rosters etc for the Club records.
