MEETING CHANGE NOTICE: May’s general meeting will be the 17th at the Shelter. Meeting start is gaveled at 7 pm. The March meeting is the 8th at 7 pm. We usually meet for chatter and drinks about 5.
January 30, club members travelled to Leisureland near Wildcat Lake for an afternoon of games, food and fun in the Hall’s hanger. Thanks Ed and Sandy for your hospitality.
March 10 to 14, our outing will be at the home park in Bremerton – hosted by the Van Zees, Watsons and Gary Lewis. Friday, an early dinner at the lodge is planned. Attendees need to let Gary know if they are going to dinner, so he may give the club an accurate count. Saturday will be Hamburgers on the Patio and heavy hors d'oeuvres for dinner with games both evenings.
April’s outing will be the 21 to 25th at the Port Townsend Elks, hosted by the Blankenships and Higdon/Grassers. May 12 to 16th we will travel to Harmony Lake in Mossyrock, one of our favorite parks. The hosts will be the Lampmans. They need co-hosts. Campers must provide a $30 deposit to the hosts or Wagonmasters Gary and Sherie Lewis (360-692-6505) by March 28.
June 23 to 27th, we return to Glen Ayr RV Park and Motel at Hoodsport. Hosted are needed. Glen Ayr’s rooms are very nice. Whether you attend with or without a rig, call 360-877-9522 for reservations. (This is the only outing where campers need to make their reservations direct with the park.)
July 22 to 25th is the Northwest Elk’s Rally at the Polk County Fairgrounds in Oregon. Time to start gathering up your books for 1181’s book sale: Paperbacks are preferred, but we will take hard cover, DVDs, VHS and CDs. Please, no Reader’s Digest, encyclopedias and medical dictionaries. Children’s and cookbooks appreciated.
Darrell Schmittler has completed another beautiful patio set for the club to raffle. He has constructed two chairs and a table out of African Mahogany. Kathy Josephson is sewing cushions for the chairs. Starting in April, tickets will be sold by Travel N Fun Members, in the Lodge office and at the family picnic. Lorene Brannan will be in charge of raffle sales.
New rosters are available. Call Sherie Lewis at 360-692-6505 for your copy. A belated thanks to Larry Watson and Sherie for the hard work they put in providing the rosters.
