TRAVEL 'N FUN REMINDER
October 2010 Travel N Fun Column
Kudos to the Fallehys and Bellings for a very well done August outing at Rochester’s Outback. The taco dinner Friday was boss and was especially delicious with Los Cabos’ outstanding salsa and taco bowls.
October 20 to 24th we travel to Hoodsport’s Rest-a-While for the annual officer’s outing. There are rumors about what meals will be provided for campers, but nothing definite. Nothing that is except the Tides’ excellent meals are only a short walk away and there will be a potluck and oysters.
Monday, November 8 at the Lodge, will be the Thanksgiving dinner meeting hosted by the Higdon/Grassers and Van Zees. The Christmas dinner will be at the Lodge December 10th. We need hosts for the latter.
Wagonmasters Gary and Sherie Lewis have provided the 2011 outing schedule: February 6 Valentine’s Brunch at Clearwater Casino (hosted by the Lewis’s). March 23-27 Bremerton Elks home park. April 13 – 17 Port Townsend Elks. May 11 – 15 Land Yacht Harbor Lacy (for a Rally preparation working session, the Rally hosted by Travel N Fun).
June 22 – 26 Glen Ayr at Hoodsport. July 20 – 24 NW Elks Rally at they Land Yacht Harbor. August 3 – 7 American Sunset at Westport. September 14 – 18 Midway RV Park Centralia. October 19 – 23 Rest-a-While, the officer’s outing. November 14 Thanksgiving dinner meeting at the Lodge. December 9 Christmas dinner at the Lodge.
Campers, sign up early to hosts before all the opportunities are taken.
October’s meeting is back at the Lodge – Monday the 11th. Greet at 5 (or earlier) and meet at 7. (Elections were held in September and will be reported in the November column.)
