TRAVEL 'N FUN REMINDER
November Travel N Fun column
We extend our sympathies to Stella and the family and friends of member Dick Davis. Dick was special – a mentor and friend.
Thanks to all of the departing officers who served in 2010 and earlier: President Stephanie Schmittler, VP Sam Josephson, and Wagonmasters Gary and Sherie Lewis. And thanks to all officers and committee members who are continuing their service to the Club. Without your hard work, Travel N Fun would lack its fun.
November’s Thanksgiving dinner meeting will be Monday the 8th. Dinner will at 6 pm and the meeting will begin at 7. Our hosts, Kathy Higdon, Dan Grasser and the Van Zees, have a traditional holiday dinner planned. The cost is $19 per person. Please make checks payable to Travel N Fun.
September, 11 rigs traveled to the Yakama Nation RV Park in Toppenish. Big winners for the weekend games were Wayne Bernhard and Sam Belling – and the campers who not only enjoyed host provided meals (a breakfast of eggs in a bag, and Ed’s amazing BBQ chicken), but great food Wednesday at the Pioneer Kitchen and Sunday at the Nation’s Heritage Restaurant. Special thanks to the hosts - Halls, Schmittlers and Lewis’s for a super weekend.
The annual Christmas dinner will be at the Lodge December 10th at 7 pm. Our hosts will be the Schmittlers, Fallehys, and Bellings. The dinner is always great fun, so join us whether you currently have a rig or not or as our guest if you are considering joining the Club. Call any of the hosts to make reservations.
Travel N Fun is preparing a basket for November’s Lady Elks’ auction. If you are willing to put together the basket, please let Sherie or Stephanie know.
SUNSHINE: Sherie reported on illness for Ed Henneman. Please contact Sherie at 360-692-6505 if you have Sunshine news.
For dues payment or membership information, call Kathy Josephson, 360-692-8642. Prospective members are always welcome as guests at outings or meetings.
Historian Karen Belling needs outing pictures, rosters etc for the Club records.
