Our sympathies to the family and friends of Harvey Hudson, long-time ex-member.
The 2010 Christmas dinner was amazing with super door prizes, table gifts (love those cookies), decorations (ah, Tic-Tac boxes) and great food. Applause and congratulations to Stephanie Schmittler, Barb Fallehy, Karen Belling, Kathy Josephson, and Brenda Lewis for all their hard work. .
Sunday, February 6th is the annual Valentine Brunch at Clearwater Casino, hosted by Gary and Sherie Lewis (360-692-6505). Brunch will begin at 9:30. The price is $14.95 per person plus tip.
March 23rd to 27th will be the first campout of the year at the Home Park. Your hosts will be Higdon/Grasser and the Blankenships.
April 13th to 17th we travel to one of our favorite destinations, the Port Townsend Elks. Our hosts with be the Gertsches and Lillybridges.
New 2011 hosts: May 11th to 15th at Land Yacht Harbor in Lacey – Harpers and Kathy J. July 20th to 24th at Land Yacht Harbor for the NW Elks Rally – Lorene Brannan and Joyce Cordova. (The Rally hosted by 1181.)
The outings requiring hosts: June 22nd to 26th – Glen Ayr at Hoodsport. Monday, November 14th – Thanksgiving dinner meeting at the Lodge. Friday, December 9th – Christmas party at the Lodge.
Once again, at the Rally, 1181 will open its highly successful book store. Save your paperbacks, hardback novels, nonfiction and cookbooks, children’s books, CDs, DVDs audio books and jigsaw puzzles. Please no magazines, encyclopedias, or condensed books. Needlework, wood and other crafts are welcome.
Dues are due. Call Kathy Josephson (360-692-9786) for dues payment or membership information. Prospective members are always welcome as guests at outings or meetings.
SUNSHINE: Chair Sherie Lewis reported illness for Judy Gertsch, Carl Buettgenbach, Ed Turner and Warren Van Zee, and family losses for Warren (mother) and Lorene Brannan (brother). Call Sherie if you have any Sunshine news.
Historian Karen Belling needs outing pictures, rosters, etc for the Club records.
