Our sympathies to the family and friends of long-time member Wayne McKiernan, ever pleasant and friendly.
December 2, the Club met at the lodge for its annual Christmas dinner. Hosts Gary and Sherie Lewis, Darrell and Stephanie Schmittler, Ken and Nancy Gould and Sam and Karen Belling put on a great party with good food, beautiful decorations and enough prizes for nearly every couple. The strawberry cheesecake was a wonderful topper, although it nearly did us in after the large dinner portions.

February 12 is the annual Valentine’s Brunch, this year at Crista Shores, Silverdale, from 9:45 to 11:45 am, hosted by the Blankenships. The cost for an “everything but the kitchen sink ” buffet is a bargain at $8.50. Call 373-6416 by February 3 to sign up.
The 2006 outing schedule is set. We need hosts for most outings: March 16 – 19, Bremerton Elks park, hosts Vern and Loretta Rott and Al and Bea Sande; April 13 – 15, American Sunset at Westport (need hosts); May 19 – 22, Swiss Colony at LeBam (with Puyallup clubs) (need hosts); June 29-July 2, NW Rally at Hood River Fairgrounds, hosts Merle Lewis and Lorene Brannan; July 20-22, Bayshore RV Park at Tokeland (need hosts); August 17-19, Outback RV at Rochester (need hosts); September 14-16, American Heritage at Olympia for the Bluegrass Festival, hosts Gary and Chris Blankenship; October 13 – 16, Rest-a-While at Hoodsport, hosted by Officers; November 13, Thanksgiving dinner at Sons of Norway, hosts Bill and Darlene Green; December 8, Christmas dinner at the Lodge (need hosts).
Two new outing locations have been penciled in for 2007: The Deming Logging Show in June and the Tower Rock U-fish RV Park at Randle for August.
Sunshine: A card was sent to Gary Blankenship for his illness.
Travel and Fun voted to fund the RV Park restroom heaters. They will be installed so as not to interfere with planned shower installations.

Snowbirds drive carefully and enjoy the warm weather. Stay-at-homes, will this be the year we have “winter,” and wish we were also south?
