Elks RV Travel and Fun report

As winter slides towards spring, we have a short column, not much to report.
March 18-21, Travel N Fun treks to the Outback RV park at Rochester, the outing hosted by Bud and Lorraine Maves and Ed and Lou Turner. The hosts will provide two breakfasts and a beef stew dinner Friday Evening. The outing is the weekend of Tenino's Old time Fiddler's Festival, so Saturday's dinner will either be the Festival's chicken dinner or on your own. Look for "mind-bending" games throughout the weekend.
Dan and Margie Harper will host the May 13-16 outing at Port Townsend. They could use co-hosts. Wayne and Vivian Bernhard will host the NW Elk's Rally at Hood River July 15 - 18. That only leaves August at Woodland's Columbia Park, November's Thanksgiving dinner and December's Christmas dinner without hosts. If you are interested in hosting, call Chris Blankenship at 373-6416.

Nearly all committees are filled. Bill Varsafsky will coordinate Hamburgers on the Patio and Merle Lewis and Lorene Brannan will coordinate swing set sales. Remember, this year the ticket will be drawn at the Lodge's family picnic. We still need someone to chair the country store at the Rally.
The new dues are $7.50 per person. Payment should be made to Cathy Higdon, (360) 830-3974.
The March general meeting is Monday, March 8, at the Lodge - conversation at 6 pm (or earlier), the meeting at 7.
