Our Sympathies to the Family and friends of Dave Westler for their loss.
A special thank to the Spongs and the Watsons for hosting the May Outing at the Elks. There was some difficulty in getting the Lebam site. Everyone had a great time as usual.
There were games puzzles, Shopping and of course all the wonderful food. Janice made some great Breads and Desserts.
Merle Lewis and Lorene Brannan will be Hosting the June Rally in Hood River. Sounds like there will be a good turnout. There is a lot planned. Plenty of activities, Book Sale, Country Store, Dinners and get-togethers.
Will have more to report after the Rally in the next Bulletin.
Members can get their tickets for the Swing Set from Sam and Karen Belling at anytime. The raffle will be held at the Lodge’s Family picnic in August. The raffle is the main Fundraiser for the Travel Club. This allows us to do more to Support the Elks Lodge. Lets try to sell as many tickets as we can . Darrell Schmittler did a beautiful job on the Swing set this year. There have been numerous compliments. Great Job!
Our next Outing will be at Tokeland Wa, in July. Jim and Peggy Brooks and Ed and Marcel Edwards will be hosting the Outing. Contact Peggy Brooks for information on deposits. For those that are going to the outing.
Norm Fallehy, and Darrell Schmittler will be replacing the countertop in the kitchen at the shelter. It will be a great improvement to the shelter, as it is used for so many functions.
The next meeting will be in July at the Shelter. Gather at 5:00 Dinner at 6:00 meeting at 7:00. Remember to bring chairs and table service. Will be a fun time for all
